I've been asked a few times to customize my "Lucy in the Sky" name art piece with a different little one's name. The piece was originally created for my college roommate (and massive Beatles fan) Erica and her adorable Lucy. I recently edited it for sweet Carter.
Carter's mom also asked me to create an entirely new piece to go with their soft nursery color scheme. This night sky piece came to me and I just loved doing it.
Of course I had to make it harder for myself by suspending the letters with string and with the shadowbox frame I was using I had to actually drill holes for the thread to run through inside the frame. I think it came out pretty sweet.
I put some loose confetti stars in the frame before I sealed it. I like the idea of part of the art always being different than how it was when I made it.
