Printable: Five Little Pumpkins

I remember the Five Little Pumpkins poem from when I was in kindergarten.  I was super excited to teach it to Luc when he was younger, and now we get to teach it to Charlie.  She's totally loving it.  I think I repeated it five times in a row yesterday.  So I created this worksheet as a starting point for a fun art project.  Click on the image to download the activity sheet and check out how ours turned out below.

Luc and Charlie had a great time with this project.  In fact, I'm pretty sure there are about seven print-outs just floating around the house in various stages of color.

Directions for the kiddos:
1. Color your five pumpkins and have an adult help you cut them out.
2. Glue sticks, popsicle sticks, or strips of paper onto black or blue paper to create a fence for your pumpkins. 
3. Glue the five pumpkins onto your fence - or "gate".
4. Use other fun craft materials to decorate your spooky scene!  We used chalk, but Charlie used mostly glue stick.  Glitter or glow-in-the-dark paint would have been awesome!
