Here's a poster that was my little gift for my husband on his last birthday of his 30's.
I started this sketch over a year ago but wasn't sure how to go about coloring it. I worked with solid blocks of yellow, red, and blue in varying transparencies. Once the color was blocked in I shifted each color layer so that it was slightly out of registration with the lines giving it a more vintage feel. Layer it all with some super cool texture and craft paper background, throw in a little vintage poster inspired tagline and I had myself a super unique family portrait.
